Fabricating the Left Inner Frint Fender Lip

Now that the lowe inner front panel has been installed, I can determne the proper line I need to replace the missing left front inner fender. I start by making a paper pattern of the piece of metal I'll need for the patch.
Transfer it to a piece of sheet metal, cut it out and form it.

Then I tack it i place

...and work it in to the existing piece.

Left side done!

...now on to the right side

The right side was a little trickier, as there was little left to work from.

I cut awy the rot until I rearched good base metal.

Then made a pattern of the left side repair we just completed.

I trimmed the pattern and fit it to the right side toestablish the line i needed.

From there I as able to make a pattern of the replacement piece of sheet metal.

I cut out the piece and slotted the radius to allow me to bend it and form the lip that the inner fender seal will attach to.

Tack the patch in place....

Weld the outboard side bracket to it.
 ...and finish welding in place
